Upon arrival customer informed me the evaporator coil was replaced in 2017 and he felt it was doing the same thing it did before. He had a friend that does HVAC come check out the unit and informed him it was empty. Had it refilled at that time and it worked for a bit longer but is no longer cooling properly. Upon diagnosis of unit I discovered the refrigerant pressures to be lower than intended which has impacted the cooling. While I searched for the leak I discovered large amount of refrigerant and oil in the drain pan confirming the leak in the evaporator coil. Confirmed warranty of Evaporator Coil to be at 5 years. This evaporator coil is no longer under warranty. Will quote several options. Scheduled a call back for Wednsday at 10 am
Performed tune up .Checked components amp draw and pressures.Flushed drain line.System was low in charge .Charged unit to the proper level.System is performing properly at the moment.Reccomended float switch device.
Removed existing evaporator coil, emergency drain pan and filter drier Installed new Goodman evaporator coil, emergency drain pan and filter drier Charged unit with 410A System is now cooling well
Customer states unit is not cooling in a timely manner. Upon diagnosis discovered the Condensing unit pressures to be significantly low which indicates a leak. Will quote for leak search and Evaporator coil replacement. Customer agreed to Evaporator Replacement.
