Performed Fall Maintenence on customers RTU. System is electric heat. Verified proper amp draw through heat kit. Verified proper blower motor amp draw as well. Checked all Electrical connections. System is heating properly at this time. System is getting older and showing wear and tear.

Upon arrival I checked the thermostat to verify wiring as customer stated they had replaced the thermostat. Discovered the R power wire to be in the wrong location, rewired thermostat and system is now heating

Remove existing thermostat and install a new Smart Wi-Fi enabled programmable thermostat with phone app capabilities. Test all system operations and ensure connectivity to phone app. Communicating Thermostat.

Identified 008.01 error code. This error code relates to the control board and controller. Identified controller to be the issue. Was able to test system through control board thus indicating the controller is the issue. Recommened replacing communicating Thermostat at this time. Will return tomorrow at 10am with the thermostat.

Inspected unit to discover the cause of the problem. Fan motor continues to run with no call for cooling or heating. Identified the blower motor relay to be faulty. Will quote to replace. Remove existing relay and install a new single pole relay. Connect wiring and test all operations. Also identified the heat kit to be faulty. Will have to order part to replace. Return trip needed.
